To apply for Medical
Professional Liability Insurance with MDAdvantage Insurance Co.
of New Jersey submit the following:
○
Completed MDAdvantage application
○
10-year prior carrier claim history
○
Copy of NJ Medical License
○
Copy of C.V.

To be eligible for
the program discount with MDAdvantage the physician must be an
active member of the Orthopaedic Surgeons of New Jersey Medical
Liability
Insurance Purchasing Alliance, Inc.

Physicians must meet
the MDAdvantage underwriting criteria to be eligible for the
discount.
○
New business physicians must be rated as Standard or better to
be eligible for the discount.
○
Physicians that are currently receiving the Purchasing Alliance
discount and at the time
of their renewal drop below the Standard rating tier are given 1
year to continue the discount.
If at the next renewal the physician is still below the Standard
rating tier the physician will
no longer receive the discount.

Qualifying
Purchasing Alliance physicians will receive a discount as
follows:
○
7-1/2% discount is applicable for Orthopedic Surgeons or
Surgical Assisting
physicians performing spine surgery.
○
12-1/2% discount is applicable for Orthopedic Surgeons or
Surgical Assisting
physicians who do not perform spine surgery.
○
12-1/2% discount is applicable for Orthopedic-Office Only
physicians and
Surgical Assisting physicians that do not assist in spine surgery.
○
Only physicians qualify for the discount. Corporations and
parameds that
are part of an Orthopedic physician’s practice are not eligible.

The Purchasing
Alliance discount is available for all Direct or Brokered
insureds
of MDAdvantage. The program is open to all MDAdvantage appointed
Brokers.

The Purchasing
Alliance discount will not be applied to Extended Reporting
Period
Endorsement (Tail), unless the physician remains an MDAdvantage
insured after
purchasing the Tail.
